Wunderbaum W-litter

„Wunschpunsch“ is the only baby of our first litter in 2005 (see below). She is a baby of our heart and we hope that she develops as we expect. And we think about giving the parents a second chance. Meanwhile also the X-litter has arrived

Wunschpunsch on this page is now 15 weeks old. She actually looks a little skinny - but try to lift her up...

The following is the text that accompanied her page through the first 12 weeks - we leave it for some more time if someone has not read it... but in smaller typography now...We hoped for 4 to 5 kittens out of this mating as the mama was steady growing. By our breeding experiences this should have indicated an average litter size, even when not all of the supposed kittens could be felt. But first litters of a queen often end in surprises, preferably when it is sunday night and the „family vet“ is on holidays. When Ela finally came in labour at day 65, she lost amniotic fluid, but then for hours nothing happened and the

contractions were so weak that we finally drove in the morning to the emergency vet. Despite Ela’s weight gain only two rather normal weight babies could be detected on x-ray (see gallery) . Birth in the clinic then started without problems – nearly. The first baby, „Wunschpunsch“, came out vivid, the second one, about an hour later, only survived for few minutes because obvisiously there was too much fluid in the lungs that already had affected the breathing abilities.
